This is my weekly post about my personal investment in Unit Trust, diversifying my retirement fund in EPF. My intention is to educate anyone who is investing to diversify their investment. Different people have different risk tolerance. Please go and explore your risk tolerance before you start to invest. Take what you learn in this post with a pinch of salt.

My investment portfolio value is currently at 21.14% as compared to 20.49% last week. If I didn’t do portfolio rebalancing, my investment portfolio value would be at 27.73%.

My local fund value went up last week supported by gains in selected index stocks and firmer offshore markets. The FBM KLCI index closed at 1,530 points, 30 points up from the previous week. My foreign fund also increases in value in tandem with global markets and better-than-expected China’s services PMI data. My bond fund, however, slightly decreases in value.

I’ve done my portfolio rebalancing last week, realising profits from previous rebalancing exercise. It is hard to predict the market movement, that’s why you need to keep your emotion out of investing and rebalance your portfolio regularly.

How is your investment doing?
